    Hospitalist Review

I have participated in several HMS updates in Hospital Medicine. They were great but all day long and a bit overwhelming. What I liked about this course is it's truly an update from current literature on specific areas of Hospitalist Medicine that is not overwhelming. The topics are taught for people working in the field. The speakers are well prepared and up to date. I am done by noon every day. The Hotel is very good with a beautiful breakfast. I recommend this course.

    Fast-Paced, Evidence-Based, Up-To-Date

Highly recommend this (or similar) course. CMEvacations was new to me, but I'm glad I came across it and plan to recommend them to colleagues. Included more study references/discussion than any other CME conference that I've been to. Gives you confidence that you're getting the latest, evidence-based recommendations. Lots of biostatistic references, but don't be scared... it's presented in a practical and casual manner (and you get a quick biostatistics refresher at the start). Both speakers did a nice job. The talks are fast-paced, which sometimes makes it difficult to fully digest in the moment. However, you are provided with the slides to review and this allows a lot of core topics to be covered. PLUS, this pace allows for more free time to enjoy the fun and beautiful locales.

    Great Evidence!

I was very impressed by the course's focus on the current evidence base. The presenters did an excellent job reviewing current guidelines for bread & butter hospital medicine topics and then discussing the current evidence related to the guidelines. They discussed evidence that both supports the guidelines and evidence that suggests a direction for future iterations of the guidelines. My favorite part is that they include a "Why was this study included" bullet point to help summarize the focal point and relevance of the study.

    Thorough and succinct

Appreciate that this is delivered by practicing hospitalists. Moved beyond guidelines, which are fully reviewed, and review new studies. Identifies areas were there are gaps between guidelines and problems we see with incorporation and use of these guidelines in practice, and where we hope to see changes in practice, or further studies are needed. Good use of time.

    Excellent conference for daytime hospitalist

Conference focused on information for a hospitalist who manages patients during hospitalization. Some of the lectures were not as helpful for a hospitalist who only does admitting shifts. Would still highly recommend this conference as they do an excellent job of providing data/recommendations for the most common disorders in hospitalized patients.

    Would highly recommend

Enjoyed this course. The material is thorough yet concise and provides a great review of the most up-to-date literature for hospital medicine guidelines. The itinerary covers the most practical bread-and-butter topics. I found the length of the daily course to not be overly long and provide ample time to enjoy the rest of your afternoon to enjoy your vacation. I will definitely consider booking another trip for my CME in the future.
