Target Audience:
The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of all DEA-registered practitioners, with the exception of practitioners that are solely veterinarians, including but not limited to physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and dentists.
Statement of Need/Program Overview
On December 29, 2022, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 enacted a new one-time, eight-hour training requirement for all Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)-registered practitioners on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.

Instructions to Receive Credit
In order to receive credit for this activity, the participant must complete a posttest, with 70% or higher, and evaluation. Certificates will be emailed to you within one week of completion of the survey.
