For our conferences, you need to register for the conference, register for the hotel, and make plans to get there. Fortunately, the airlines have become more flexible with changes and cancellations, but make sure you understand the refund/change policy when you book.
Conference registration cancellation policy:
Refund policies vary by conference.
For all Hospital Medicine Update conferences in 2022: Full refund available up to 7 days before the conference start date. For cancellations made from 7 days until 1 day before the conference, either a refund minus $100 fee, or we will credit your registration to a future conference. Your choice. Cancellations and conference fee refunds must be requested via email, please email valerie@CMEvacations.com
If you cannot attend your conference, you can cancel and get a refund or credit based on our cancellation policy, or you can utilize the online content, but not both.
For Primary Care Update conferences in 2022: Before the conference begins, you can always change to a different conference without penalty. Full refund available up to 30 days before the conference start date. For cancellations made from 8-30 days before the conference begins, either a refund minus $100 fee, or we will credit your full payment to a future conference. Your choice. For cancellations made from 1-7 days before the conference begins, either a refund minus $200 fee, or we will credit your full payment to a future conference. Your choice.
Conference attendees will also receive unlimited access to the online version of the conference content! You also get our 2 hour online Opioid Prescribing and Pain Management course. If you cannot participate in a lecture in person, you can watch it online and earn credit. This also means that if you want to plan on not attending certain lectures - suppose you want to take Wednesday and go to the beach all day, or Disney World, or scuba diving - you can just watch those lectures online.
If you are registered for a conference, you can earn CME credit by watching any content online, and you will have access until 6 months after your conference start date.
FYI, in the CME world live events and "enduring material" are different courses. If you attend one of our conferences, we give you both. If you choose to do some of the CME online, you will end up filling out two separate evaluations, and getting two separate CME certificates - one for the live part you attended, and one for whatever you completed online. Sorry if that's confusing, that's just the way CME works.
